Adam & Erin are the perfect couple – they are not only stunning to look at… but they could not be more sweet, caring, down-to-earth and completely smitten! There day was an absolute celebration! Erin is from the small town of Jarvis originally and returned home for the wedding! I love the country and small towns – beautiful location!! Then we were into Ancaster for their reception at the Marquis Gardens!

On a side note – this was my first time shooting with three of us photographers! Carolynn was scheduled to come with me as my assistant – and then Jodi was down from Winnipeg job shadowing so she came to. It was great to have the extra support!!

So, I cry at just about every wedding… but not usually until the reception – or at least the ceremony! But when Erin read the card Adam gave her along with her necklace and earrings… I got all choked up watching her reaction. And I don’t even know what the card said!! ha ha Here is Erin reading the card…

I LOVE kids in wedding parties!!! No matter what they do – it’s adorable.

And the moving ceremony… I managed not to cry again though (until the reception that is).

Tonight was a chilllllly night…. but worth it! Fall is definitely here! We had fun photographing Chris, Kristie and there three munchkins – Maleigh, Kaelyn and Hayden. Chris is my sister-in-law’s twin brother… so we see these guys at family birthday parties and such… and I always knew they were a good looking family – so it was nice to finally get to photograph them!!

It’s been a lot of fun having Jodi with me yesterday and today – and the next two days!! – at our shoots! Watch for an entry soon on her time here!

I told Kaelyn there was a giant in there… rookie move. She was so determined to get at the giant after that!!

Since Chris is a firefighter, wanted some of Hayden with the fire hydrant and such… I love this one of him wondering if he’ll ever be as big and cool as daddy.

Then the girls changed into their princess dresses for some fun!

And then Jodi took the kids while we had some mommy & daddy time!

A couple weeks ago I was to do Chad & Amy’s engagement photos – and it POURED so we postponed. Today was off and on rain – and after they drove an hour to get here… you guessed it. It POURED again. I’m sick of rain!!! So we scrapped our plans for a beautiful outdoor setting… and went for a car park and shopping mall instead! A lot of fun with this adorable couple!

I just realized I forgot to post these photos here on my blog! On the last day of summer… Sept. 21… my baby girl turned 6! Most people think of their youngest child as their “baby” – but to me my Madi, my oldest is my baby. She is the one I remember so vividly as a newborn – the moment when they declared “it’s a girl!” She’s the one that taught me how to be a mom and broke me in. She is and always will be my baby. But she’s six now… and not enjoying mom calling her “baby” anymore. Sigh.

Madison’s name means “gift from God” – and I must say, as each year goes along I realize more and more how she lives up to her name. This year I am thinking what a gift she is to me – how much she has taught me. Madi is very sensitive and feels things deeply. She has a beautiful, generous compassionate spirit. And she makes me laugh – a lot – with her wit and wacky imagination. I love this kid!

Right now she is on a cowboy kick – so we went with a cowboy birthday party. Yee haw!

I also was thrilled – and shocked!!! – to receive this email from Trina in the Yukon. I thought the only thing I Was famous for was winning a goldfish eating contest back in the day – ha ha.

“I am recently taking a photography course in school and we have to do a project on a famous photographer. You see where this is going.. ha I picked you , i love your photos, they are beautiful, unique and detailed and when i think of a photographer the only name that appears in my head is Krista Jefferson. Now i hope that didn’t sound cheesy but really that is the only way to put it.”

And I got to say, work has been crazy busy – Fall is always our busiest season with portraits, weddings and orders. I have been busy trying to keep up… but then I get an email like this from last weekend’s groom, Ted, and it all seems worthwhile:

A couple weeks ago I did bridal portraits for Kristen – I had to wait to post them until she was married! Now that she’s said “I do!” I can post these beauties!

Way back in high school I knew Jacquie – haven’t seen her since high school! On Sunday I had the pleasure of not only seeing her – but her husband, daughter, and extended family! Jacquie and her sister Laura both have some of the cutest girls ever – they were so easy to photograph! It was a great way to spend the morning!

We started with Jacquie and her family – her daughter Natalie is a sweetheart!!!

I love how these two look like they are in the middle of a fight!

And the grandparents just ADORE Their granddaughters!!

And this photo may not be perfectly in focus – but I loved the emotion of Grandma and her girls as they embrace upon arrival.

And then we photographed Laura and her family of gorgeous girls!

Their girls just naturally grabbed each other’s hands – priceless!

And then the whole family!!

I adore kids – whole reason I got into photography after all! And I love listening to kids – having them tell me about school, bugs, friends, Hannah Montana, random facts… on the walk back to the car we were having a great chat and I just received this photo in my inbox! Love it as it reminds me of my three new little friends!

This weekend turned out to be a gorgeous fall weekend for a wedding! Ted & Yvonne were married in Oakville at one of the beautiful old churches by the Lakeshore – before heading to the Old Barber House for a beautiful reception!

Loved how he strutted into the church! So confident!
