It’s always fun when a couple has a hobby they want to work into their photo session. Shaun and Kristin both love rock climbing – and so we met at Rattlesnake where (after we did some “pretty” photos) they played on the rocks… and then we went to their rock climbing gym, Climbers Gym. Such a fun morning – with a great couple!

Right before I left for PEI, and then our big road trip – I had the opportunity to meet David & Michelle for their engagement photos. It’s always fun when I get to meet the whole gang – their sweet daughter and dog also! Looking forward to their Fall wedding!

Today is the day. The day a new adventure begins. People have told us we’re crazy. And asked us “why?” And all I can think of is “WHY NOT?”
Today – the girls and I get in the car and start on a journey of about 9,000km. People keep asking us where we are driving to… and that’s difficult to answer because there’s no point on the trip where we say “now we are at our destination – let’s turn around and go home.” The entire trip – each day – is the destination. Mark will join us in a few days (work gets in the way of personal life sometimes!). But for now – us girls are heading out. A little west. A little south. A little crazy.
I’ll be trying to post as we find wifi (we are camping the whole way) and sharing – because these posts make up my travel logs. Help me to remember what I’ve seen and felt. Travel inspires me – and I feel makes me a better person and photographer. So, the car is packed to capacity, the GPS is on, cameras eager to see… and we are off!

Friday was a beautiful day to meet Mike and Kristina for their engagement session. I hadn’t met them in person before – but we clicked right away! These two are so easy going and fun… can’t wait for their country wedding this Fall!

Two years ago I photographed Nathan and Kim’s engagement and wedding… now it was so fun to go back to see them and meet their newest addition, Hannah Emerson. We photographed in and around their home – and Hannah’s “fur siblings” were on hand to keep guard of the wee princess.
Babies are just so kissable!
And we’ll end off with the two big babies with their favourite toys…. their expressions show they aren’t really suppose to use them as toys though.

Blake and Rachel had a beautiful day for their wedding at the Tamahaac Club in Ancaster. Beautiful weather – a fun wedding party – and their sweet daughter Eva. A great celebration!

Two weeks from today is Blake and Rachel’s wedding – can’t wait to celebrate this sweet couple! We met up last week with their little daughter Eva to capture some images in the beautiful Spring weather!

Every year, our kids and their “soul sisters and brother” get together to play in the orchard and do photos. This year as they get older, we found we didn’t take as many photos – but man! do those kids love hanging out together! So much fun!
This year – Madi and Aliah were happy to “perform”, and much of our time was spent asking “Where’s Eden? Where’s Caden?” and so on. So you will see more photos of some kids than others! ha ha.
And where it all started from – my high school friends who are my “soul sisters”. This year was extra special too as it was the first year that coordinated with our husband’s schedules and we were able to do family photos too!
And what better way to end then with a picnic of treats? Cotton candy – yes please!

Almost 7 years ago, I photographed baby Violet. Two years later it was time to document her little brother Desmond’s arrival. And so I was so excited to be asked back last week to document the newest addition – a beautiful little girl, Gray. To say she is well loved is an understatement. I think there are more photos of Gray being kissed by her siblings and parents, than not. She is absolutely adored – and it’s easy to see why with her blonde hair and blue eyes and sweet disposition.
This was also fun for me to document as these are the same ages and genders as me and my siblings – fun to imagine what it was like all those years ago as I was the baby being smothered in kisses!
Marnie and Andrew are so relaxed and in love with Gray, Violet and Desmond – such a fun afternoon with them documenting their family! Loved that when I got there it was the boys getting the little princess ready…
You know, I could have done an entire album just of Violet and her living doll, Gray. These two are so sweet together.
Violet read to Desmond and Gray the book “I’m a Big Sister” – and did such a great job reading!
Then it was time for some mommy and daddy cuddles! I love how these two adore their kids. Marnie is sentimental like me, and at one point just as she sat there admiring her little Gray she started to cry. Out of love. So sweet.
